Greater Ashland Lions Club

Happy Halloween Saturday, Oct. 31

Submitted by Lion Rosalie Porter, 2nd VP

A big thank you goes out to all those who stopped by to see us at National Night Out. It was held at the Middle School. And to those who visited us at our White Cane Day Toll Road (co-sponsored with the Ashland Lions Club). Also, many thanks for visiting us at our booths at both Dragonfly Faire and Ashland Day. For those who were interested in the Cookies for Kids Cancer, please go to this website: https://my.beagoodcookie.org/fundraiser/6556184.

Thank You for Your

Generosity

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated aluminum pull tabs and used eyeglasses. These ongoing collections help support important programs that benefit people both locally and around the world. Please keep those donations coming! Every pair of glasses and every handful of pull tabs helps make a difference.

Ashland Day

To all those who stopped by the Greater Ashland Lions Club booth, thank you! We were raising funds to support children battling cancer and other important charitable initiatives. We loved the opportunity to meet you, share information about our club, and tell you more about the many ways Lions serve our community. For more club information, please check us out on Facebook: Greater Ashland Lions Club. #weserve #kindnessmatters.

Porchetta Night!

Mark your calendars for our annual Porchetta Night on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Ashland VFW. You don’t want to miss this evening filled with:

-  Delicious 5-course meal prepared by Marconi's

-  Live entertainment

-  Exciting Basket Raffles - including a generous raffle donation from Anderson's Jewelers

Tickets are $25/each and can be purchased by contacting Lion Debbi at 508-881-2117. It's a fantastic night of great food, fun, and fellowship—all while supporting the charitable work of the Greater Ashland Lions Club.

Help Keep Someone Warm This Winter

It's never too early to begin collecting clean, gently used coats for our annual Coat for Kids and Families campaign, beginning in October. You can bring donations to any of our upcoming events, or simply contact Lion Debbi at 508-881-2117 to arrange a convenient pickup. Together, we can help ensure that local families stay warm during the colder months ahead.

Thank You for Supporting Lions

For those of you who may have any used eyeglasses or unneeded hearing aids, you may drop them off at Market Basket (Pond Street / Rte.126), the VFW (at 311 Pleasant Street), or the Town Hall (Main Street).

Want a quick and delicious meal on hand for those cold fall & winter nights? Please consider ordering from our online fundraiser with What a Crock. Our club receives a small commission on every order. Use this link: https://whatacrockfundraising.com/?rfsn=8953732.6f398a9. Thank you!

Every volunteer hour, every donation, every event attended, and every member strengthens our ability to serve others. Thank you for being part of a community that cares so deeply about helping neighbors near and far! Together, we can continue to make Ashland—and the world—a better place through service. #kindnessmatters
