Celebrate Ashland at Hopkinton Center for the Arts Summer Music Series

Ashland Town Day at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) Summer Music Series!
Ashland Town Day will be celebrated at HCA’s Summer Music Series concert on Friday, July 28th, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm on the grounds of the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, 98 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton. The concert features “ The Tony Soul Project”,a blend of musicians from diverse backgrounds, who provide dance music covering Rock & Roll, Motown and Blues! Guest singer for the evening will be Ashand’s Joe Peck. This event is sponsored by the Ashland Cultural Council.
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts would like to promote the idea that HCA is a regional art center, welcoming participation from around the region. Their concert series begins on June 30 and lasts until the last Saturday in July. The concerts are from 6:30 - 8-8:30 pm, on the grounds of the center. Larry Joe’s fire pit food
truck will be on site, and folks are welcome to bring their own food and lawn chairs . There is also a summer exhibition in the galleries to enjoy. Bathrooms are available. In case of rain, the concerts will move to the indoor space.
 The concerts are “Pay what you can”; registration is helpful, but not required.

The Ashland Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils, serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The LCC program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands o community-based projects in the arts, sciences and humanities every year. The State Legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community.
Decisions about which activities to support are made at the community level by a board of municipally appointed volunteers.
The mission of the Ashland Cultural Council is to promote excellence, access, education and diversity in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences in order to improve the quality of life for all Ashland residents and to contribute to the economic vitality of the community.
