Greater Ashland Lions Club Happy St. Valentine’s Day!

Thank You to all those that donated over 250 warm coats for children and adults. 
Our annual Quiz / Trivia Night will be held on April 12th at the VFW Hall on Pleasant Street (6:30pm start time). Form a team (8 people maximum) for this fun and friendly trivia competition and win a Cash Prize. There will also be Raffles, Dessert Table, and a Cash Bar. In the planning stage is a Pasta Night. Check our column in next month’s Ashland Local Town Pages for more information.
February observances: It is Black History Month. February 2nd is Ground Hog Day, the 4th is Thank Your Mailman Day, the 9th is National Pizza Day, on the 11th is Super Bowl Sunday. February 12 marks Abe Lincoln’s Birthday, Mardi Gras starts on the 13th. George Washington’s Birthday is the 22nd. Also on the 22nd is National Chili Day and rounding out February is National Pancake Day on the 28th.
Do you have any used eyeglasses or un-needed hearing aids hanging around? We’ll take them! Please bring them to the Police Station (located in the Public Safety Building at 12 Union St), Market Basket (Pond Street / Rte.126), the VFW (at 311 Pleasant Street), or the Town Hall (Main Street).
